Rooms offer unique décor that feels homey and inviting. The basement bar presents a comfortable atmosphere with a large screen TV and a decent beer selection. Breakfast options are plentiful and tasty, enhancing the overall experience.
Parking can be a real hassle. the space is tight and maneuvering is awkward, leading to potential scrapes on your vehicle. Some rooms are designed with unconventional layouts—especially in the eaves—that might not suit everyone’s comfort levels. while there's piped music in public areas, it may not appeal to all tastes.

the room was super cozy n welcoming, we felt right at home right away. the owners were friendly n really made us feel like part of the family. breakfast was amazin, cooked fresh n tasted so good. loved the decor and character of the place, it really had a charm to it. cant forget to mention the comfy bed, slept like a rock!
however, i wished the shower had better privacy, felt a bit awkward. n the cloakroom toilet was a bit too small for my liking.

I booked a stay at The Mansion House and was excited about the charm it promised. The initial greeting was friendly, setting a positive tone. My room was clean but quite basic. The decor felt outdated and lacked a cozy ambiance. I was in a double room with a cloakroom that felt a bit cramped, especially when using the separate shower cubicle within the room. A bit more privacy would have been appreciated. On the plus side, the hotel had a lovely atmosphere and the other rooms looked enchanting. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which is always a plus. I faced disappointment when I discovered limited hot water in the bathroom, making it tough after a long day. Breakfast was decent but could have offered more variety. The location is convenient, but some amenities seemed lacking. It’s a pleasant place, but the experience varies based on the room you get. It definitely has potential, but more attention to details would improve the stay significantly.

Such a charming spot!
So, I ended up here instead of the other place I booked, and I was super happy about it! Sam was really friendly, and the breakfast was great. High-quality stuff, cozy vibes. It was a bit awkward feeling out of place at the wedding we attended, and the bar could've stayed open longer. But overall, amazing stay!

Had a great time with friends! We visited the local market and then relaxed at a nearby park. The building is stunning and has tons of history. The hosts really made us feel welcome and were always there to help with our questions.
We did feel a bit rushed at breakfast. it was like everything came out too quickly, and there wasn't much time to enjoy it.

The stay was very enjoyable, especially since we were there to visit local attractions. The historical charm of the place really stood out, making it a comfortable refuge. The breakfast was freshly cooked, offering a great selection, and the hosts were welcoming and attentive to our needs, particularly for my elderly mother. I did find the stairs to be quite steep for someone a bit older, and the shower could have offered more privacy.

Had an epic time with friends here! We hit up two local spots during our stay and enjoyed every moment. The breakfast was straightforward, but be ready for a hearty meal – you won't want to miss it. The rooms are cozy and equipped with nice touches like hot water and treats. Sam and Richard are fantastic hosts!
Just a heads up – the stairs can be quite steep, which might be an issue for some.

We had a fun time exploring the nearby park and enjoying our meals together, while Richard and his family made us feel at home, especially caring for my elderly parent with ground floor accommodation and a special breakfast.
My kids wished there were greater room options for larger families.
